Calico - Small - Young - Female - Cat - Lightning

So Waverly Pet Rescue helped out by taking Lightning in. She has been to the vet, is up-to-date on shots, spayed, FIV negative, and living in a volunteer home. . Lightning is about 18-months-old. She is a beautiful cat and very friendly. She is playful and get along with all the other kitties. Lightning is loving and likes to be petted, but it is on her own time. She is a little shy but is so sweet. She will play when other kitties have the ball rolling around too. She is also a cuddler. Lightning has a sister listed on here named Thunder if anyone would like to adopt 2 cats. It is not required though. These kitties would do ok in homes on their own too! Thunder and Lightning were born during a storm and that is where their names come from. Due to neglect in her past, Lightning gets a kitty cold ever couple or months or so. She will just need meds from the vet and it clears right up. She is FIV negative and our vet says it is from poor living conditions before we got her. 11/16/09 UPDATE: Lighting is about 2-1/2-years old now! Will someone please give Lightning a forever home and adopt her? $25.00 adoption fee. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters. Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the kitty had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office. (Ear mite treatments $15, medicine for kitty cold and runny eyes $20, Distemper and rabies shots $25, Flea treatment $25, Spay / Neuter $65 - $120, etc, etc)
