Waverly Pet Rescue has taken all of them in and they are living in a volunteer home. We took her to the vet and Millie is now up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and spayed. Millie is about 1-1/2 years old. She is a sweetie and very friendly once she gets to know you. She was a stray originally as a kitten so has only had the one old lady as an owner. She is now in a volunteer home with a family so is getting used to the idea of what a normal cat life is like and how to meet new people and be around them. 1/9/09 UPDATE: She is used to the other cats now and you can say she gets along good with other cats. She is a petite little thing. Loves to cuddle and loves attention. She would love a home where she can get a lot of loving! 9/15/09 UPDTE: Millie has been with us for well over a year and would love a home to call her own. She is shy and takes a bit to warm up but then she is a loving loyal kitty. If you want a new buddy to love who will love you back Millie is the girl for you!!! The quiter the home the faster she will warm up. 10/5/09 UPDATE: Millie is sweet and loving. She is very much a lap cat and just wants love. She is shy around new people at first but once she realizes you are there to be friends she will love you. Millie has been with us since September 2008 (she is now almost 2 yrs old) and she is too sweet to not have a forever home of her own. The foster home where she is now has an autistic girl that comes to visit. The girl will lay on her lap and just let her brush and brush and brush her. Wouldn't you like a friend to sit with? Millie does! Will someone please adopt Millie and give her a forever home? $25.00 adoption fee. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to Email Waverly Pet Rescue at the bottom of this page. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters. Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the kitty had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office. (Ear mite treatments $15, medicine for kitty cold and runny eyes $20, Distemper and rabies shots $25, Flea treatment $25, Spay / Neuter $65 - $120, etc, etc)
