She and her siblings showed up on a nice lady's deck. We think that the mama kitty may of crawled under the lady's deck and passed away. But she chose a good home to do so take her kittens to. The kind lady kept two of the kittens but thought three was too much. So she contacted the Waverly Pet Rescue for help. We took Kelsie in and she is now in a foster home, but she really wants her forever home!!!L Kelsie was born about the beginning of June 2009. Kelsie is living in a foster home with other cats and with children as young as 10 with children of all ages always visiting. She is a sweetheart! 9/1/09 UPDATE: Kelsie is doing just awesome here. She is very lovey and at times she is very snuggly. She is still a bit shy but is purring constantly. She is very unique looking, and i have never seen a cat that looks like her. She looks like she has makeup on (eye shadow). She is calm and likes to be loved. She is a great cat and will most likely do well with other cats. She likes to play! Kelsie must be spayed by her adopter when she is old enough and proof it required.Will someone please adopt Kelsie and give her a forever home? $50.00 adoption fee. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to Email Waverly Pet Rescue at the bottom of this page. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters. Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each cat we take in. $150 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the kitty had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office. (Ear mite treatments $15, medicine for kitty cold and runny eyes $20, Distemper and rabies shots $25, Flea treatment $25, Spay / Neuter $65 - $120, etc, etc)
